This is a women's competitive tennis league. All levels of players are invited to join one of our teams in the Greater Washington Daytime Doubles Tennis League. League play occurs in the spring and fall. Reston Association sponsors four women's tennis teams in this league.

Reston Team Tennis, formally known as World Team Tennis, is our most popular leagues. Wednesday league level is 3.0-3.5. This is a social, yet competitive league. Please call the tennis office at 703-435- 6502 if you would like to join a team. You must have a team before you can register for the league.

This class is for players with little or no tennis background. Most students will need to take level one more than once. Players will learn proper grips, footwork patterns and correct swing technique for forehand, backhand, serve and volley.

Orange Dot Balls are a perfect way to get your young athlete involved in the game of tennis. They travel at half the speed of a standard tennis ball, giving it a lower bounce and making the game more accessible to children 8 to 10 years old. This course will include drills for footwork, shot preparation, and recovery.
Orange dot ball While this course will work on improving basic strokes, the emphasis will be on developing game tactics and strategy for match competition. There will be drills for footwork, shot preparation, and recovery. A third of every lesson will be devoted to match play.

This exciting new play format for learning tennis is designed to bring kids into the game by utilizing specialized equipment, shorter court dimensions and modified scoring — all tailored to age and size. Kids enjoy a fun, motivating introduction to tennis, emphasizing fun and play. It’s the fast, fun way to get kids into tennis and keep them playing. Parents or guardians MUST be present for this class. This is a parent interactive class.

This class is for players who have reached an advanced beginner level of play. This class is designed to further improve technique and stroke production. This player can sustain a rally of slow pace.

There will be drills for footwork, shot preparation, and recovery. A third of every lesson will be devoted to match play. Ages 8-10 years old. You must complete Orange Ball Futures 2 to be in this class.

This class is specifically for teenage age players that have little to no tennis experience. Teens will enjoy tennis with their peers and learn the fundamentals of tennis techniques and strokes. Emphasis is on fun, fitness and play. Ages 13-17

This class is for teens who have started to rally and understand the correct stance and grips. This class will continue to work on proper technique while incorporating game tactics and point play. Players should have completed Teen Level 1 at least twice unless RA instructor have approved moving up to Teen Level 2.

Adult Beginners
Introduces serve, volley, forehand and backhand strokes, court positions and tennis terms. This class is designed for players that have little to no experience.
