Discover nature through hands-on activities and exploratory walks. Campers will enjoy playtime, story time and song in our 72-acre forested park. Activities develop social and physical skills while children learn about the natural world around them. Full day sessions will go to RA pools.

Walker’s Rangers provides a fun educational experience for children ages 6-9. Based at the Walker Nature Center, campers enjoy a variety of outdoor activities that encourage creativity, exploration and appreciation for the environment. Campers will explore 72 acres of forest, stream, pond, and lake habitats, learn about wildlife, play nature games, conduct science experiments, and enjoy arts and crafts. This camp goes to RA pools. Spend mornings training to be a future lifeguard. Learn the roles and responsibilities of a lifeguard, improve swimming skills and practice beginner level rescues. Afternoons include traditional camp activities such as group games and free swim time. Note: Participation in Junior Lifeguarding does not result in American Red Cross (ARC) certification. NO camp 6/19 and 7/4.

This camp is full of fun in and out of the water! Mornings will be spent with RA certified swim lesson instructors helping each camper advance their swimming skills. Afternoons will include traditional camp activities such as arts and crafts and group games. Some swimming experience necessary.

This is the ideal camp for the first-time camper! Campers will enjoy swimming, arts and crafts, games, sports, and nature walks. We’ll also discuss nutrition and the importance of stretching. Our camp is coached by professional staff who are trained to encourage maximum participation, good sportsmanship, and above all, FUN! We will go swimming at the RA pools and enjoy classic summer camp activities. Sportsters is located at beautiful Lake Anne Park, featuring a multipurpose court, practice wall, tennis courts, sand volleyball pit, spray fountain, playground and pavilion, just minutes from baseball and soccer fields.Camp shirt required. In addition to swimming, games, arts and crafts, science and nature exploration, Day Campers will learn the basics of teamwork, responsibility and exploration. This camp goes to RA pools.
