The Reston Association offers a Fairfax County approved Pool Operator License Exam. After registering to take the exam, you will receive the self-study guide.
The exam will be held in-person at RA Headquarters. Participants must bring their own laptop to the testing site. Wifi is available.
The synchronous exam is open book and you are permitted 1 hour to finish. You must achieve 90% to pass.

Ages 16+
Operator License card will be issued upon successful completion of the course.
This license is valid for 3 years at any pool within Fairfax County.

*RA and RSTA staff will be required to attend a training class immediately following successful completion of the exam. Training will be held from 4-7pm in the Conference Center.
